Vancouver and nearby communities
Vancouver ZIP examples: 98660, 98661, 98662, 98683, 98685 and 98686 are among the local mailing areas we can review. Other Vancouver and nearby Clark County ZIPs can also be submitted. The exact address, appliance condition and current route determine whether pickup is available, not the ZIP alone.
Our Vancouver service-request focus is roughly a 20-mile area. Requests may come from Vancouver, Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Felida, Minnehaha, Orchards, Five Corners, Brush Prairie, Camas, Washougal, Ridgefield and Battle Ground. These are examples, not a guarantee of coverage at every address. Include your ZIP code so the local route can be checked.
For customers south of the Columbia River, see our Portland pickup page. For other Washington requests, use our Washington service information.
What appliances may qualify?
- Washers and dryers: working machines and matched sets are especially useful for reuse.
- Refrigerators and freezers: provide photos, size and working condition.
- Stoves and ranges: tell us whether the unit is gas or electric and whether it works.
- Multiple appliances: mixed loads may qualify when about 80% of the major appliances are working, subject to review.
Dishwashers are considered only alongside at least two other major working appliances. Microwaves are not accepted as a standalone pickup. See the full qualification guidelines.
Before your pickup request
Tell us whether appliances are in a garage, driveway, apartment, rental unit or inside the home. Include the floor level, any stairs, narrow doors or loading restrictions. Property managers can include the number of units and whether multiple appliances are ready together.
For refrigerators and freezers, tell us whether they are still cooling. For washers and dryers, say whether a complete cycle works. These details help determine whether the appliance can be reused and whether pickup is practical.
Vancouver appliance pickup vs. City collection
If your appliance is still working, ask us to review it for reuse-focused pickup before treating it as waste. Our service is separate from the City of Vancouver's collection programs: we assess working condition, the whole load, access and partner route capacity before confirming free pickup.
The City of Vancouver residential solid waste guide describes an annual free major-appliance collection option for residents with active garbage service; the City's bulky-item instructions specify that its regular appliance pickup is for eligible single-family households. Verify your address and eligibility directly with Waste Connections. The City's bulky-item instructions explain that refrigerators, freezers and other refrigerant-containing units are excluded from the ordinary bulky-item program, and explain the separate appliance collection option. Ask Waste Connections at 360-892-5370 to confirm eligibility and scheduling for your address.
Not sure which option fits? Send the appliance's tested condition and photos for our pickup review, or consult the City's RecycleRight directory for current reuse and recycling options. City services have their own rules and are not part of our pickup network.
Pickup access in Vancouver and Clark County
For a Downtown Vancouver or Waterfront apartment, tell us whether the building has a freight elevator, loading reservation or parking limits. For a house or rental in Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Orchards or east Vancouver, tell us whether appliances are in a garage or inside, whether steps or gates are involved, and how close a vehicle can park. These details affect whether an otherwise eligible appliance can be moved safely.
Common Vancouver pickup questions
Is appliance pickup always free?
No. Free pickup applies only to qualifying appliances and approved loads. We review working condition, quantity, access and partner availability first.
Can you collect from apartments or rental properties?
You can submit a request. Please include floor level, stairs, loading access and whether the property requires a pickup appointment.
How far outside Vancouver do you go?
We review requests around a 20-mile Vancouver-area radius, but coverage is confirmed by exact ZIP code and the available pickup route.
