Stockton Refrigerator & Fridge Pickup Only
This page is focused on refrigerator and fridge pickup in Stockton. If the request includes a washer, dryer, stove, freezer or several appliance types, use the Stockton appliance pickup city page. For broader routing outside the city, use the San Joaquin County appliance pickup hub. Laundry-only requests use the dedicated Stockton washer & dryer page.
Free pickup is qualification-based. Working and reusable refrigerators receive priority. A request is not an appointment until condition, address, access and route availability are confirmed.
What We Need Before a Stockton Refrigerator Pickup
Cooling condition
Tell us whether both the refrigerator and freezer sections hold temperature. If the unit has a known cooling problem, describe it accurately.
Photos & model
Send a front photo, interior photo and model-label photo when available. Mention dents, missing shelves, broken handles or dispenser problems.
Size & configuration
Tell us whether it is top-freezer, bottom-freezer, side-by-side, French-door, counter-depth or built-in. Approximate width helps with route and doorway planning.
Removal access
Include stairs, elevators, gates, narrow doors, kitchen islands, long carries and parking restrictions. Do not cut refrigerant lines or remove the compressor.
Stockton Neighborhood & ZIP Review
Refrigerator requests can come from Downtown and Midtown, Brookside, Lincoln Village, Quail Lakes, Spanos Park, Weston Ranch, South Stockton, North Stockton and other Stockton neighborhoods. Common city ZIP areas include 95202, 95203, 95204, 95205, 95206, 95207, 95209, 95210, 95212 and 95219.
The exact street address matters more than the ZIP alone. Garage and driveway pickups are often simpler; apartments, senior communities, condos and managed properties should include floor level, elevator, loading and gate information.
If the Refrigerator Does Not Qualify for Our Free Route
San Joaquin County publishes appliance recycling and disposal guidance for refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ovens, stoves and other white goods. The County currently says residents can use its solid-waste facilities for eligible appliance recycling or disposal subject to current limits, separation and facility rules.
2026 facility update: San Joaquin County announced that Foothill Sanitary Landfill stopped accepting waste on June 28, 2026 and that operations were consolidated at the North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill. Check the current County page before self-hauling. The County Household Hazardous Waste facility separately states that refrigerating units and large appliances are not accepted there.
Stockton Refrigerator Pickup FAQ
Can a single working refrigerator qualify for free pickup?
Yes. A single working or strongly reusable refrigerator can be submitted for review. Acceptance still depends on the exact address, condition, safe access, local demand and route availability.
Can you pick up a refrigerator that is not cooling?
You can submit it, but a single nonworking refrigerator generally does not qualify for the standard free-pickup route. Give the true cooling condition so the correct option can be reviewed.
Should I put the refrigerator at the curb first?
No. Keep a working or reusable refrigerator protected until pickup is confirmed. Weather exposure can reduce reuse value.
Can I text photos before I submit the form?
Yes. Text clear exterior and interior photos plus the Stockton ZIP code and cooling condition to 310-774-4304.
