San Bernardino Refrigerator Pickup Review
San Bernardino refrigerator requests are reviewed by actual cooling condition and by the removal route from the appliance to the truck. Older homes, apartments, side-yard gates, alley access and multi-unit properties can change whether a refrigerator is practical to remove, so send the access details before moving it.
Cooling condition
Tell us whether both the fresh-food and freezer sections hold temperature and whether the refrigerator is still plugged in and testable.
Photos and clearance
Send front, interior and model-label photos. For side-by-side or French-door units, include approximate width and the narrowest doorway or turn on the exit path.
San Bernardino access
Include floor level, stairs, side gates, alley or parking access and carrying distance. Multi-unit properties should include manager or loading instructions when applicable.
Fast review: text photos and cooling condition to 909-375-6685 with the San Bernardino ZIP code.
How This San Bernardino Request Works
1. Send condition + photos
Start with what works, clear photos and the ZIP code. You do not need to wait until every access detail is known to start the review.
2. We review qualification
We check condition, access, current demand and Inland Empire route availability. Free service is not guaranteed until the request is accepted.
3. Confirm pickup details
If the request qualifies, the pickup details and removal access are confirmed before the appointment.
Prepare the Refrigerator Safely
Keep the refrigerator intact. Do not cut refrigerant lines or remove the compressor. Empty food and loose shelves before an accepted pickup, and tell us if doors may need to be removed for clearance.
Do not move a heavy appliance alone if doing so is unsafe. Photos of the appliance in its current location can help us evaluate the removal path first.
San Bernardino Local Disposal Alternative
If a refrigerator does not qualify for our reuse-focused route, the City of San Bernardino currently provides residents with two free bulky-item collections, with up to five items per collection. The City's Keep SB Clean page explicitly includes old appliances, refrigerators and freezers among eligible bulky items.
The City directs residents to arrange that service through Burrtec before the regular collection day. This municipal service is separate from our qualification-based appliance pickup network, so do not place a refrigerator out for our route unless our pickup has been confirmed.

What should I send first?
Send exterior and interior photos, model label when visible, current cooling condition, ZIP code, stairs, side-gate or alley access and doorway clearance.
What if it does not qualify?
San Bernardino residents can compare the City's separate bulky-item program, which currently includes refrigerators and freezers and has its own appointment and item limits.
