Major Appliances We Want to Review

Refrigerators & Freezers

Working cooling appliances are a strong reuse category. Send inside and outside photos, brand/model if visible, whether the unit is plugged in, and whether it holds the correct temperature.

Washers & Dryers

Working machines and complete sets receive strong priority. Repairable laundry machines can be submitted through the dedicated Fresno washer-and-dryer page for individual review, subject to confirmed local availability.

Stoves, Ranges & Ovens

Gas and electric cooking appliances can be reviewed when complete and reusable. Tell us which burners, oven and controls work and whether the unit is already safely disconnected.

Multiple-Appliance Loads

Landlords, remodelers and property managers can submit several appliances together. Mixed loads may qualify when the majority of the major appliances are working and reusable.

Single Working Appliances

A single working refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer, stove or range can be submitted. The local route still reviews distance, access and demand before confirming free service.

Commercial & Recurring Sources

Apartment communities, senior living, property managers, appliance installers and businesses with recurring replacement appliances can submit ongoing pickup needs for review. Larger or repeat projects can start at the commercial appliance pickup hub or recurring pickup program.

Fresno General Pickup vs. Washer & Dryer Request Review

The dedicated Fresno washer-and-dryer page accepts requests for individual review of repairable or nonworking laundry machines, but acceptance depends on verified local availability. That exception does not mean every broken refrigerator, freezer, stove or other major appliance qualifies. Use the dedicated Fresno washer-and-dryer page for laundry equipment and this page for general major-appliance requests.

Fresno Neighborhood & Nearby Route Review

Requests can come from neighborhoods across Fresno, including the Tower District, Fig Garden, Woodward Park, Bullard, Hoover, McLane, Roosevelt, Sunnyside and Downtown Fresno. This page is for pickup addresses inside Fresno. Nearby cities use their own local pages: Clovis appliance pickup, Sanger appliance pickup, Fowler appliance pickup or Selma appliance pickup. This keeps qualification, access, ZIP and route signals tied to the correct pickup address.

Neighborhood coverage is not a guarantee of free pickup. The exact address, appliance condition, stairs, gates, carrying distance and current route availability determine whether the request can be accepted.

Inside Pickup & Access Details

Tell us if the appliance is in a garage, driveway, first floor, upstairs unit, condo, apartment, storage area or business. Include stair flights, elevator availability, gates, narrow doors, long carries and parking or loading restrictions. These details can determine whether a free route is practical.

Fresno Appliance Pickup vs. Operation Clean Up

Fresno's public Operation Clean Up program gives eligible residential customers an annual bulky-item collection route, while our service reviews qualifying appliances for reuse-focused pickup. The appliance type matters because Fresno's public program treats refrigeration equipment differently from many other bulky items.

Our appliance review

Working washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, stoves and ranges can be submitted with condition, photos, ZIP code and access details.

Operation Clean Up

The City of Fresno states that eligible residential solid-waste customers receive Operation Clean Up once a year for bulky items, including furniture and appliances.

Refrigerators and freezers

Fresno's Operation Clean Up page specifically excludes refrigerators and freezers from its accepted appliance list. The City's one-time bulky-item program also lists refrigerators and freezers as not accepted, while examples such as dryers and stoves/ovens can qualify for eligible residential solid-waste accounts.

Fresno Apartment & Multifamily Appliance Pickup

Fresno apartment buildings and multifamily properties can require a different removal route from single-family homes. The City of Fresno Operation Clean Up states that residents of multifamily properties with four or more units are not eligible for that annual program and should contact their collection service provider for disposal information.

Our route is separate from the City program. Property managers, landlords and apartment communities can submit qualifying refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, ranges, freezers and multi-unit replacement loads for review. Include the number of units, appliance count, working condition of each item, floor level, stairs or elevator, parking/loading access and whether appliances are already disconnected.

For recurring unit turns or portfolio work, see the landlord & property manager appliance pickup guide or the commercial appliance pickup program. Laundry-only replacements use the separate Fresno washer-and-dryer page.
