One Regional Hub for Bay Area Requests

This page organizes Bay Area pickup information by a real metro region instead of publishing near-duplicate pages for every city. Requests may be reviewed from San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Mateo, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose, Fremont, Hayward, Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, Walnut Creek, Concord, San Rafael, Santa Rosa and nearby communities.

Coverage varies by route, partner availability, access and appliance demand. A city appearing here does not guarantee free pickup. We confirm the request only after reviewing the exact city or ZIP code, working condition and pickup details.

Bay Area Regions We Review

San Francisco & Peninsula

San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Mateo, Redwood City and nearby Peninsula requests can involve apartments, narrow access and limited loading space.

South Bay & Silicon Valley

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto and nearby communities are reviewed by exact city, ZIP code, appliance condition and route availability.

East Bay

Oakland, Berkeley, Fremont, Hayward, Richmond, Walnut Creek, Concord and nearby East Bay communities may involve hills, multi-unit properties or longer carry distances.

North Bay

San Rafael, Novato, Santa Rosa and nearby North Bay requests are reviewed with exact location, access and available route coverage.

What Helps Us Review a Pickup

Working condition

Tell us exactly what works. For washers include fill, drain and spin; for dryers include heat and tumble; for refrigerators and freezers include cooling status.

Clear photos

Exterior, interior and model-label photos help determine condition, size, age and whether an appliance may be reusable.

Building access

Include floor level, stairs, elevator availability, narrow halls, gates, loading restrictions, parking and whether doors may need removal.

Bay Area Access Can Change the Pickup Plan

San Francisco and other dense communities can involve limited curb access, apartment stairs, elevators and loading restrictions. Peninsula and South Bay requests may involve condominium rules or scheduled loading areas. East Bay and North Bay requests can involve hills, garages, gates and longer routes.

For large refrigerators, send a photo of the exit path if the doorway or hallway is tight. For stacked laundry units, tell us whether the units can be separated. For garage or driveway pickup, mention slopes, gates, alleys or long carries.

Free Pickup Qualification

Fully working major appliances may qualify for free pickup. Mixed loads may qualify when approximately 80% of the major appliances are working. Minor repair needs may be considered. A nonworking appliance alone generally does not qualify.

Special categories: microwaves are accepted only with another qualifying major appliance. Dishwashers are considered only with two or more major working appliances.

Landlords, Rentals and Property Managers

For rental turnovers or multi-unit properties, list every appliance separately with its condition and unit location. Tell us whether all items will be staged in one garage or whether access is needed to several units.

For multiple addresses, use the message field to identify which appliances are at each property. Mixed loads are still reviewed for working percentage, access and route availability before scheduling.

Yes. Include the floor, stair flights, elevator information, loading restrictions and parking details.

Bay Area Appliance Pickup: San Francisco, East Bay & South Bay

The Bay Area is too varied for one generic appliance-removal promise. San Francisco, Oakland and San José each have different building access, street conditions and public disposal systems, so the strongest route is state hub → Bay Area hub → major city page.

San Francisco

Stairs, elevators, narrow halls, older buildings and loading restrictions can determine whether a pickup is practical. The San Francisco page also compares reuse-focused pickup with Recology's bulky-item service.

Oakland & East Bay

Hillside access, duplexes, apartments and long carries are common factors. Oakland's city page includes the public large-item alternative for customers whose appliance does not qualify for our route.

San José & South Bay

Townhomes, condos and multi-unit properties should include elevator, parking and management rules. San José's city page also explains its no-cost public junk-pickup option.

Bay Area City, County & Route Review

The nine-county Bay Area combines dense urban neighborhoods, suburban communities, hillside properties and major commercial corridors. Appliance pickup access can vary sharply by exact city, parking conditions, stairs, elevators, gates and carrying distance.

Send the full address, ZIP code, appliance condition, floor level, stairs, elevator or gate access and clear photos. Use a dedicated city page whenever one matches the actual pickup address.
