Commerce: City Collection or Reuse Pickup?
For a working refrigerator, washer, dryer, freezer or range that might be reused, send us its tested condition and the pickup address. The city bulky-item service is a separate option when a unit does not qualify for our reuse route.
The City of Commerce waste-collection page identifies Athens Services as its residential hauler. It lists refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ovens and stoves for on-request bulky collection, with requests made at least 24 hours before the usual collection day and items at the curb by 6 a.m. The city notes that some housing developments built after 2002 are outside its no-charge residential collection program; check eligibility directly with Athens at 888-336-6100 before setting out an appliance.
Different parts of Commerce have different collection days, including the Bandini, Rosini, Bristow and Veterans areas. A business or property-management request also needs loading and access details because municipal residential collection rules do not automatically apply to commercial premises.
Commerce Pickup: What the Driver Needs to Know
A warehouse or commercial appliance pickup is not the same as removing a fridge from a house. Include the actual Commerce address, whether the machine is on a dock or ground level, permitted loading hours, gates and parking restrictions. Send clear exterior and interior photos, model or serial labels when available and the tested condition of each appliance.
